How a client project became our first AI product
How a real-world agency problem led us to build Swirls, our composable agentic AI workflow product.
Building products at ByteSlice means creating tools for ourselves that help us deliver better solutions for our customers. That's exactly how Swirls came to be.
A few months back, we were working with a close friend who runs a marketing agency. The challenge was straightforward but time-consuming. He needed to generate ad copy and collage images for clients based on event data submitted through website forms. Manual work was eating up 20-40% of his team's week. AI was obviously going to be a big part of the solution.
While we were building this, we'd also been brainstorming our entry into the AI product scene. Instead of creating a one-off custom solution for the marketing agency, we took a step back and built something more fundamental: a composable framework for leveraging LLMs triggered by form submissions.
The result? A tool that worked perfectly for our friend's marketing agency AND gave us reusable infrastructure for any future engagement. We could have kept it internal, used it as our secret weapon for client work. But that felt like the wrong move.
So we turned it into a product. Swirls.ai was born from actual client needs, not from speculation about what developers might want.
We're still in active development, but we're excited to release this publicly. Our initial focus is GTM Engineers, it's a no-brainer platform for automating lead enrichment, account intelligence workflows, and other sales/marketing processes. But really, Swirls is built for anybody looking to implement AI into an application without the typical complexity.
Stay tuned for more updates. We're just getting started.
